Welcome to 2010, and a Happy New Year to you all.

This is just a short note to say I’ve upgraded all my development boxes & server to AMD quad core chips. I have a AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 920 powering my server, and 2 AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955′s powering my main development boxes (oc’d to 3.4Ghz), and a AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 940 (oc’d to 3.2Ghz) in my test box.

My main box has 8G of OCZ PC2-6400 RAM running at 1138Mhz, delivering nearly a gigabyte of bandwidth p/s. It is truly amazing to see how fast it is, and the cost versus the equivalent Intel solution is also a boon. Now to do some more work on my bookmarking/url shortening site (http://qmrk.net)
